Sports Therapy session in clinc

WHAT IS SPORTS THERAPY?

Injury recovery, prevention and aftercare

My expert sports therapy treatments are not just for the sporting community. Getting to the root issue, my techniques benefit people of all walks of life. If you are 18 or 80, a keen runner or not, I can help.

Spire Injury Clinic Sports Therapy Appointment

The Sports Therapy and expertise I offer varies from traditional sports massage treatments you might be used too. I have clients regularly travelling from London, Southampton, Bournemouth and across the South West, and have earned a name as the man who “fixes" the “unfixable."

Trained under John Gibbons “the expert’s expert" I’m a certified Bodymaster Method practitioner.

The Bodymaster Method combines elements of a variety of techniques into one treatment plan. It follows the ethos that where the pain is – the problem is not. Simply rubbing where it hurts may feel nice but will not give you long term relief.

Regular treatments can help break down scar tissue, remove the build-up of toxins, improve mobility and reduce the risk of further injury.

“In October 2023, I started seeing Alex at who came recommended to me. I had injured myself on the Great South Run and had an upcoming charity place for London Landmark Half Marathon running in memory of my best friend and sister in law. I was in so much pain and barely able to walk, let alone run.

Alex got me back to running in time for LLHM 2024. He taught me the importance of training correctly, not just running but strength training, mixing up the runs I was doing and nutrition before, during and after events.

I’ve continued to keep seeing him as I’m so unbelievably accident prone and I was new to running again. There was a LOT to learn and Alex has helped me every step of the way whilst fixing my injuries."

“I had a car accident a couple of weeks ago I went to see Alex , he was lovely he listened to me detailing all my aches and pains. He gave me some treatment and gave me some exercises to do at home. I have a follow up appointment soon ......oh he even cured my sensation in my big toe and ache in arch of foot ..... AMAZING !!"

“I love Alex’s approach, professional, courteous but very detailed. He explains his reasoning with proper information that helps me understand why he does/asks to do things. Definitely recommend!"

“As a 50+ ultra runner I’m a regular on the physio bench. Alex is by far the best I’ve come across. He listens deeply, understands individual goals and commitments, treats and sets tailored exercises and has a fantastic self made video collection of different rehab exercises which I use very regularly. I’m running stronger than for quite some time and continue to visit Alex to keep in top of my niggles."
